What
is a Single Skin Tank?
Our Range of Single Skin Tanks
A single skin tank consists of a single rotationally moulded container
for the safe storage of fuel. Single skin tanks are suitable for
most domestic installations at single family dwellings in the UK,
unless the installation is situated within an environmentally sensitive
area. In such circumstances it is recommended that a Risk Assessment
is undertaken prior to tank installation( Risk assesment). Single
skin tanks are not suitable for commercial, industrial, institutional,
agricultural or industrial sites. For such installations, a Bunded
Tank should always be used.
What
is a Bunded Tank? Our Range of Bunded Tanks
A Bunded Tank consists of a single skin tank within an outer tank.
Should the inner tank be overfilled the excess liquid will collect
in the outer tank thereby protecting the environment from oil spillages.
All Titan Bunded Tanks comply with capacity requirements of existing
UK and forthcoming European environmental regulations. Bunded tanks
are mandatory at commercial, industrial, institutional, agricultural
and commercial premises throughout the United Kingdom and at environmentally
sensitive installations at single family dwellings. They are also
required for all installations in The Channel Islands.
